FAITH

MY HOPE

In Christ alone, my hope is found.

In Mary, His mother, my requests land on fertile ground.

With her love, for all her Son’s people

She brings to Him, the pleas of all the feeble.

She brings to Him our requests that find favor

And asks that He grant them for all who labor

Here on earth seeking heaven’s gates

Guarded by Peter, founder of the Church, Earth seems to hate.

In MARY alone I find Jesus Christ, incarnate.

In MARY’S womb alone I find God made flesh.

In MARY’S heart alone I find the sword of Simeon’s prophecy.

In MARY’S soul alone, I find the Mother and Nurturer and Bearer and Lover of Jesus Christ, who is GOD.

I’d say there is much hope to be found in Mary, because God willed Himself to be found in Her from all eternity, and She said yes.

WHO IS THIS BABY JESUS?

HATRED FOR SIN

Jesus, let my hate of sin not be from fear of hell but love of you.

HAPPY CHRISTMAS

LIKE THE SHEPHERDS OF BETLEHEM, LET US ADORE HIM AND GIVE HIM OUR HEARTS SO THAT HE MAY SET UP HIS ABODE IN THEM.

CHRISTMAS EVE

MARY IMMACULATE, MOTHER OF JESUS, HELP US WALK THE WAY THAT LEADS US TO YOUR SON.

DO YOU BELEIVE THAT HER SON'S COMING INTO THE WORLD CHANGED EVERTHING, AND STILL DOES?

Our King does not have a crown of gold; He has a crown of thorns. He is born in a manger in a lowly place on the edge of an Empire of which He is the Ruler.

Infact He is the ruler of the whole universe.

SEVER THOSE TIES

BURN YOUR SHIPS

"When the Spanish conquistador Hernán Cortés 

arrived on the shores of Mexico in 1519, he 

discovered that he was up against a powerful 

empire. With 600 men and a few horses and 

canons he was to face the Aztecs, a vast empire

 whose capital was larger than any city in Spain,

 and whose  religious festivals saw tens of 

thousands of human lives sacrificed in a weekend.

His men were justifiably terrified. They wanted to

 hop back in their ships and sail home.

So Cortés burned the ships.    

 There was really no possibility of turning back. 

We need to have this same mentality when faced 

with the temptation to go back to the old life. Are 

there sins that still hold allure to you? You need to

sever those ties! If you find yourself looking back 

with fondness for some sin, say a prayer that God 

will give you grace to strengthen your resolve, that

you may walk in the light of life.

GENUFLECTION

Be a Catholic: When you kneel before an altar, do it in such a way that others may be able to recognize that you know before whom you kneel.

STAND UP AND BE COUNTED THESE DAYS

If you happen to be eating  in a restaurant, do you feel ashamed to say your prayer before setting down to eat?
