WALK ON WATER
Many times people think that God is unfair, so they stop going to church and stop praying altogether. They seem to think that being religious is a ticket to a life free of any problems at all.
God never said that this life would be easy. However, through his cross, Jesus gives meaning to suffering and his grace gives us the power to overcome the challenges of life.
…All too often we become completely discouraged when trials and tribulations batter the boat of life. We be…come so blinded by the difficulty that we think that God has abandoned us. “Take courage, it is I; do not be afraid.” We need to see God in the middle of the storm. It may take some time for the storm to disappear, but he is there, he is always present. Only through the eyes of faith can we see the loving presence of God in the middle of the tempest.
…So many people are afraid to get out of the boat. Past failures and present disappointments keep people frozen in time, unable to move on to a better life. We must never be afraid of failure. Success can only be achieved by taking risks. We must not focus on the past; instead we should look forward with hope to a new beginning. We must place all of our confidence in Jesus and walk on water.
He calls you to get out of the boat and to walk on water.

CONTRITION
"Legalistic remorse says, ‘I broke God’s rules,’
while real repentance says, ‘I broke God’s heart’.

GRACE, PACTIENCE and FAITH
LORD, PLEASE GIVE ME THE GRACE TO BE CONTENT WHERE I AM NOW,
THE PATIENCE TO WAIT ON YOUR TIMING,
AND THE FAITH TO KNOW YOUR HAND IS ALWAYS ON MY HEART.

INVOKE MARY IN THE TIMES OF TEMPTATIONS
HASTE, my Mother, run to help me;
Mother, haste, do not delay;
See from Hell the envious serpent
Comes my trembling soul to slay.
Ah! his very look affrights me,
And his cruel rage I fear;
Whither fly, if he attacks me?
See him, see him coming near!
Lo! I faint away with terror,
For if yet thou dost delay,
He will dart at me his venom;
Then, alas! I am his prey.
Cries and tears have nought availed me,
Spite of all I see him there;
Saints I call till I am weary.
Still he stands with threatening air.
Now his mighty jaws are open,
And his forked tongue I see;
Ah! he coils to spring upon me
Mother! hasten, make him flee.
Mary! yes, the name of Mary
Strikes with dread my cruel foe;
Straight he flees as from the sunbeam
Swiftly melts the winter’s snow.
Now he’s gone; but do thou ever
Stay beside me, Mother dear;
Then the hellish fiend to tempt me
Never more will venture near.

PUT YOUR HOPE WHERE JESUS IS
We must never be discouraged or give way to anxiety… but have recourse to the adorable Heart of Jesus.’

GOD NEVER CHANGES HIS MIND
Two people denied Jesus the night before His death: Judas & Peter. Both wept for their mistake.
What was the difference between the two?
Judas turned away from God & judged himself. Peter repented, went back to God, & let Him forgive & restore him.
Never underestimate the power of Jesus to forgive & restore.
God never changes his mind about the people he calls. He never decides to take back the blessings he has given them.
— Romans 11:29

WHY ARE WE UNHAPPY.
"If you want to know about God, there is only one way to do it: get down on your knees.
You can make His acquaintance by investigation, but you can win His love only by loving.
Most people who deny God do not do so because their reason tells them there is no God, for how could reason witness against Reason? Their denial is rather because of wishful thinking. They feel they would be happier if there were no God, for then they could do as they pleased.
Think a little less about whether you deserve to be loved by Him; He loves you even though you are not deserving. It is His love alone that will make you deserving.
Most of us are unhappy because we never give God a chance to love us; we are in love only with ourselves."
Archbishop Fulton Sheen

TROUBLING GOD?
Some people think God does not like to be troubled with our constant coming and asking.
The way to trouble God is not to come at all.

WHAT SAINTS DO SAY (1)
ST THERESE OF AVILA
All divine things gave me great pleasure; yet those of the world held me prisoner.
14 hours ago
O my God! as He strengthens our faith, love grows.
Always think of yourself as everyone's servant; look for Christ in everyone and you will then have respect and reverence for them all.
Never compare one person with another: comparisons are odious.
Be gentle to all and stern with yourself.
